Borne of one man's deep desire to become a force to be reckoned with, the Crimson Lotus employs agents from all walks of life and in places one would never expect them to be.The Crimson Lotus, more commonly referred to as The Lotus by the people most familiar with it, is a criminal organization that involves a multitude of different factors and businesses, but focuses on and has made its empire on the acquisition of black market goods, rare artifacts, and information.No price is too high for the kingpin of the Lotus, even if that price is steeped in blood.
The Lair is a small, dark nightclub nestled deep within the Goblet. The air within is heavy, giving off a sense of danger, intrigue, adventure, and that not all is quite as it seems.The people who recognize it would be right.Inside the deepest, darkest labyrinths of the building houses the whole of the Crimson Lotus organization. Here, contracts are entered and dealt. Here, their strongest agents are trained.Beyond their private quarters are tunnels that lead beneath the Goblet. Some say that they're naught more than an old, abandoned sewer system. Other rumors claim that the underground tunnels are pathways to the other places secretly controlled by the Lotus.Best of luck getting past the guards to figure out which one is true.Most who stumble upon the Lair do so just looking for a fun night out with their friends. Others have heard whispers of the Shadow King and the deals he's willing to make and the chance at changing their stars.But everything has a price. What will you pay?

While the Lotus is in fact a free company based on the Balmung server, you do not have to be in it to be a part of the Lotus. The Lotus really does interact in all sorts of other businesses and organizations, ranging from venues like Songbird's Lounge, to political parties, to fight clubs like Shady's to, you guessed it, a tiny cafe ran by the sweetest of miqo'te.Outside of the kingpin of the Lotus investing in businesses, he also commonly trades in rare, ancient, and magical artifacts, information, weapons, illegal substances, and...well, people. He's not above sending his agents to retrieve things, people, or make people disappear. He's not above much of anything, really, so long as you have the coin to spare.
If you would like to join the Lotus, or start a storyline with the Lotus, just ask! If you see one of us floating around in-game, approach! Whisper us! Do whatever you wanna do, just say something! Despite the ranks displayed on the Agents page, OOCly, everyone is allowed to do...well, anything.
We're here for the short-term and the long-term. We're big fans of IC consequences for IC actions, and nobody's perfect, so hit us up. Let's make some stories.

Upper Hierarchy: The people in power, the rulemakers, the enforcers. While no one's word is stronger than Ceithil's, without him, what they say is law.Handlers: They write and sign the contracts. They dole out the jobs. While they're all capable in their own way, few of them get their own hands dirty. They act as prestigious officers and advisors to Ceithil himself.Sleeper Agents: The less conspicuous folk under Ceithil's rule. Some of them are very aware of how they move and operate and what they bring to the Shadow King's table. Others work for businesses owned by the Lotus, blissfully unaware of the blood flowing beneath their feet every day.Agents: The people directly under Ceithil's rule. He pays them to do whatever his bidding is, and they do so accordingly. When they don't, they die.Liaisons: While not directly employed by the Lotus, nor related, these are people who have fallen into tense "agreements" with the Shadow King.Runners: Usually delegated to pirates and sky pirates alike. These are the people he pays to move his product(s), whatever they may be.
